Prevention & Screening Overview
The best time to treat cancer is when it is in its earliest stages. However, many cancers develop silently, with symptoms that don't appear until the disease has reached an advanced stage. That's why screening tests like mammography, colonoscopy, prostate-specific antigen blood testing and other procedures are so important. These tests can detect cancer before symptoms develop.
