JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working with  management and support personnel to ensure projects are completed on time. This individual will also see that marketing projects have the resources and attention it needs to be successful.  The coordinator will also be responsible for handling correspondence with clients and communicating with other staff in the organization to keep marketing projects on track.

  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphic design, inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt.
  • Works with graphic design to help deliver content that meets client specifications.
  • Coordinates the newsletter with printer, graphic design, and writer.  Also, communicates/coordinates with staff about content needed for newsletter. 
  • Coordinates content for website, social media, and jumbo tron, etc.
  • Updates calendar on website for event calendar.
  • All printing needs for the CCC are coordinated through the marketing coordinator.
  • Plans and develops assignments and schedules for marketing /PR activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job consistently and satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Advertising. One or more years of experience in marketing, advertising or graphic design.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to read, analyze, interpret and use appropriate, related information relevant to the Center and the position.  
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to make critical decisions in a timely fashion knowing when and how to use input; ability to initiate, implement, enforce and monitor policies and procedures.  Ability to coordinate multiple projects concurrently and assess and alter priorities as needed.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:   As appropriate to position.  Required, preferred or within a certain number of years after accepting position.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Excellent [average] computer skills that allow for easy and immediate application of [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and other Center software systems--latter personalized to position].
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong attention to detail.  Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrates critical thinking and creativity.  A pleasant, welcoming demeanor to all customers--internal and external--is required.  Conflict resolution skills.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: May occasionally be required to work outside of typical scheduled day-time hours.

While the bulk of the functions will be performed in a normal office environment, this job may operate in a clinic environment as well. At that point, the role is routinely exposed to common health care conditions, smells, noises, chemicals, sharps, etc.  OSHA Category 1 hazards may be present--tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues and other potentially infectious materials exist.  The role consistently uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as other equipment associated with office functions.
